We tried to seem happy and do our best, but we knew the Freshman Initia- tion would soon come; and it did come on Friday, October 13. We were required to give a two-minute talk before the assembly. After games were played, we were rewarded with ice cream, candy, and cookies. Several other parties were held during the year. During the year we lost Bessie Cooley, who now goes to Kendallville.
