An English major carries a heavy schedule Journalism experience is provided through working on the campus maga- zine, The Golden Echo, and the monthly newspaper, The Teresian. The Depart- ment also publishes the Viewbook. ENGLISH Basic courses are taught in Rhetoric, English and American Literature, and in Literary Criticism. Lor those who wish to write, special courses in the Short Story and Playwriting have been set up. Many St. Teresa graduates with an English major are teaching in elementary and secondary schools.
