In December, 1964, the Avella Dis- trict J ointure School Board voted in favor of Advanced Establishment of the Avella Area School District. Under this organi- zation the four member districts--Cross Creek Township, Hopewell Township, ln- dependence, and West Middletown Borough --became a single merged district. The nine member interim operating committee selected at the December meeting became the school board for the area July l, 1965. The members of the board are as follows: Mr. John Hunter . . ....
