No victory is worth while and lasting unless it is secured by long hours of toil and planning. Victory must first come from within oneself and then with those with whom we associate. Page Ten The present Fitch graduating class is just a taken class. Every class loses some members along the way and this class is, of course, no excep- tion in that respect. This class, however, is one of the smallest of recent years and the reason goes beyond the normal dropping out along the road. We can never think of the class of 1944 without including many of its members who will be unable to be with us at commencement. We must think of many fine, young people who should have been able to complete their high school careers. They are doing their part in the struggle to save the democracy which we tried to teach them to love here at Pitch School. We say therefore that this is just a taken class and that these people who are graduating this year are also representing the many ex-members ot this class who are on our honor roll. Since many of the members of this class can not be here for commencement, we hope that in some better day we may have a reunion with all the members of this class of 1944 as it should have been. H.
