GOOD CITIZENSHIP CLUB The Good Citizenship Club is made up of the upper four grades The aim of this club is to promote good manners throughout the grades The motto is 'Do one good deed each dav to show that you are a good citizen The officers of the club are Thomas lichienzi President, June Mclullen Recording Secretary Robert Cooney Rollcall Secretary V Gb 'fiat ,tx,NV.t1 fr Q R Eight Grade Seventh Grade Sixth Grade Fifth Grads YOUNG AMFRICA VICTORY CLUB The pupils of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are members of the Victory Club which is sponsored by YOUNG AMFRICA ' The officers are Elizabeth Sormani, President Clarke Larch Vice President and Jane McMullen, Secretary Treasurer The chairmen of the various com ittees are GIRLS' ACTIVITIES Doris Vanwhy and Jane Jeffers CIVILIAN DEFENSE Neil Shepard and Floyd Sharp MORALE - Louise Haupt and Jeannine Lerch FINANCE Pauline Riale and Bernadine Barnett AVIATION Robert Cooney and Edward Van Volkenburg PRODUCTION- - - Thomas lichienzi and Thomas Gehris The purpose of the club is to give the young boys and girls of our community an active part in the defense of our country and the chance to help attain victory. These are a few of their various activities: purchase of war stamps, collecting of waste material, planting victory gardens, build ing model airplanes, learning and applying civilian defense methods, and making posters. Money has been contributed to the McArthur Ambulance Fund and pins have been purchased by each member.
