Thus, our East Building, which has served the Austin community so honorably and faithfully for the past seventy years has heard the last class bell ring . . . the last locker-door bang shut . . . the last footstep in the hallway . . . the last happy voices. No longer will hurried footsteps take a student across the campus on the tree-sheltered walks between the buildings.
