1 CLASS UF 1959 The sophomore at his locker-a young man with changed values, new rules, and much more responsibility-now has a few more books and something much more important-a maturing outlook on school and social life. By this time he has found many friends, not only in his division, but also in clubs, organizations and classes. His division teacher is still a good friend, but also an adult to be respected and obeyed. His school life is adjusted to a semi-even keel. He learns the difference between a tangent and a secant in geometry, and discovers biology. He has become a whiz at basketball and can swim 100 yards freestyle with ease. With cr year of practice behind him, he may be made a full-fledged member of the Choir, Concert Band, or Orchestra. And he has found the Austin socials.
