Herein is presented the 1938 yearbook for Austin High. By combining features in tune with modern trends and in good keeping with Austin tradition the staff has tried to do its part to make this book a huge success. This Maroon and White of 1938 has been compiled mainly for the purpose of giving the students of Austin a medium through which their high school years may be reviewed in years to come. We of the staff have tried to make this annual not only a senior book but also one which will be welcomed by under- graduates. ln years to come the pages of this yearbook, we hope, will call forth on innumerable occasions I knew him when- and Do you remember? As we look back upon the hours we have spent in compiling this book, the staff Wishes to thank Mr. Berens, sponsor of the Maroon and White, for his untiring efforts in helping us erect another milestone in the history of our school.
