Page Eight P R I N L' S lt is fitting, it seems to me, that our edi- torial committee has dedicated our Maroon M E S S A G E and White Annual to the Spirit of Victory. Our activity program in our American schools is emblematic of the American Spirit-the spirit of victory over obstacles. In our own Austin High School a considerable number of groups and teams in various fields have this year achieved special distinction. These teams and organizations who have come through to ultimate victory stand as examples of triumph over obstacles in their special fields. Special achievements in physical education are, of course, a furtherance of a health program which is one of the cardinal objectives in modern education. ln citing the success of our football team this year as an example of achievement I may say that We are proud of our team, and We are also proud of the spirit of continued loyalty shown by our school in supporting our team.
