Newly inducted members of the Senior National Honor Society bowed their heads and joined hands in the friendship lock while the choir sang, The Lord Bless You and Keep You. Gilbert Siqueiros, Rhoda Miller, and Walter Tally decorated King Neptune's treasure chest for Austin-In-Action. Grace Murphy pins a baby orchid on Coach Harris at the induction ceremony of the spring Student Council. :ull-ll, thot we were the first srudenis in Austin to watch the World Series on television? -when the pipes in the main hall broke? DO YOU REMEMBER the fun of playing in the first snow? VIVIAN PAYE HANSEN And she went to rest in the arms of the angels To the memory of Vivian Faye Hansen, class of '56, we dedicate this page. Faye, friend and classmate, had an ever ready line of good-natured chatter to pass on to everyone. We all envied Faye for her love of life and the pure joy she got out of just plain living. ln all our hearts and minds there will always be the fond memory of our school days and friend- ship with Faye Hansen. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters, He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with meg thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. 0 0' Dedication- lt is with a feeling of pride and appreciation that the l954 Round-Up Statt dedicates this book to Mrs. Lydia Stark, Austin High School Speech teacher.
