The activities and projects of the Austin High School Parent-Teacher Association have followed the theme Freedom for Youth We have sponsored 20-40 dances for high school students, Girl Scouts in Austin, tennis and ROTC department projects Home making Dance in November and the Topper Dance in December. Held get acquainted parties for new students in Iunior High School, Parent Education classes. Cooperated with Third and Fourth War Bond Drive Committee, with army in giving two Christmas dances for Anti Aircraft Battalion and Medical Detachment at Station Hospital, stationed at Fort Bliss. Purchased Brazilian and United States flags for Austin Hall of Pan-American Flags Given. Life Membership. Honored' Faculty with coffee-April. lanuary and May Seniors with banquets and proms Presented-Austin-in-Action-April 5.
