Junior-Senior Reception 1945 In the above picture brings back memories of our junior and Senior reception which we gave in honor of the graduating class of 1945 with the splendid assistance of Mrs. Leona Weir, who really helped to make it a real success by her sponsorship. The reception was held May 25, 194-5 in the Austin High School Gym. We started the reception fwhich was formalj with a Welcome from Norma Gardner and followed by a Response from Mary Maggard. Then followed short talks by Mr. Glaze, Mr. Gamble, and Mr. Casey. Many invited guests for the formal dance after the dinner was served. The decorations were patriotic in color and design and the floor was surrounded by evergreen twigs. Many commented that it was the best decorations yet se en in the Austin Gym. The candles on the tables and an upturned hat from the ceiling provided the light. All reported having a good time.
