Our Student Council does not ignore the new rush of activities but joins in by giving the annual faculty break- fast. The season of growth is paralleled hy scholastic progress. A feeling that the lunch periods are longer scems prevalent for many students stampede at noon to waiting ears and speed off to different spots for hasty lunches. Enthusiastically. seniors gather together to order gradua- tion invitations. The Pied jackets have fun at the annual hanquet where Carolyn Kellam is named number one senior Pied jacket. Sen- iors realize the time is short and plan for next year. Most parents come to the spring hack-to-school night to renew and make new teacher friendships. The Maroon basketball players prove their superiority as they down Bryan in the district play-oil series. De- feating Borger 52-51 and dropping the Hnals to South Park 41-36, they win second in the State tourney.
