But the greatest part of our time is spent in the classroom. Most of the days in the life of our students are taken up by classes and studies. To find out just what happens in the life of an AHS student, a Comet photographer followed Billy McCaleb through a day at school. Among other things, this typical junior studies English and American history, drives his own car to school part of the time, and shares his locker with a large number of his friends. This is the way we go to school-all through the day. 8:10 - Spirit runs high at a pep rally, with our student joining in on the yelling. 12:15 - Billy practices for a choir Eer- fomiance with some other mem ers of the Mixed Choir. Q :ggsukm What are memories made of? Maybe the football game we won, or almost won, is your big memory. Or perhaps you remember a dance or a very special date. Sometimes a memory is made by a friendly smile or a teacher's kindness in staying long after school to help. Some memories are of an outstanding Red Dragon production or of all the work that went into that production. One of the biggest memories of the members of the junior class is of a letter from one of Austin's ministers thanking them for their tribute at the death of their classmate and friend, Perry Maass. We all have our memories, some very good, some not so good, of our school- AHS. Wiemazdea 7476 HE SELLS HAPPINESS along with his ice cream. The ice cream man receives his daily visit from Mary jane Burcham, Dawn McKinney, Susan Phinney, Nancy Coff man and Carolyn Straiton.
