WHO ARE THE lw1AROONS? -Ask Cheerleader Hill Rylander and Louis Borden, mascot of the cheerleaders, at one of the Friday pep rallies. ,bcffzfli Li'l Maroo, symbol of Maroon and WVhite spirit, came of age in a big burst of school spirit and team support during the foot- ball season. Each football game was played to packed stands, and the gym fairly burst during pep rallies each Friday morning. Austin High's cheerleaders played a big part in bringing spirit up to an all-time high. Little Louis Borden, mascot of the cheer- leaders, did his part, too. Mr, Iimv Tolbert really inspired us with his talks at pep rallies, and the Red Jacket skits kept every- one in a gay mood. The band's music at all the pep rallies and the games was a big factor in building up spirit. With miles of heart we sang When the Saints Co Marching Inf, Beer, Beerf and the best song of allQ Loyal Foreverf, WE ARE THE MAROONSV,
