3 Mrs. Katherine Norman The river of time flows on-quietly, steadily, nnceasingly. Unaware that the current is sweeping us toward adulthood. we live each day taking the wisdom of instructors, the association with friends, and the activities of high school with the exuber- ance of youth. Each tick of the clock is an insis- tent reminder that time waits for no one, In our zest for living We forget that soon these days will be but milestones in our race against time. Suddenly we shall realize that each hour, minute, and second has become a treasured memory. The staff of the 1955 Comet presents for you a pictorial record of the inmnnerable pleasures and educational opportunities that we have enjoyed this year. And, in so doing, we hereby dedicate this Katherine Norman. yearbook to our ever-helpful sponsor, Mrs. Mrs. Norman devotes much of her time to the newspaper and yearbook of Austin High School. Through the years, her capable supervision and unfaltering patience have placed the Austin Maroon and the Comet among the outstanding high school publications in the nation. To the students who spend their spare moments in the world of pictures and print. Mrs. Norman often seems as close as their own mother. In the years to come, we shall always remember her, not only as a sponsor. but also as an understanding person and a true friend.
