Principal Always friendly and willing to lend his assistance to both teacher and student, Mr. Lipscomb Anderson has served Stephen F. Austin High School well in his first year as Principal. Stepping up from the ot- iice of vice-principal, a position which he had occupied for three years, Mr. Anderson became the tenth principal in the history oi Austin High School. He is well quali- fied to hold this important job, hav- ing had over twenty years of exper- ience in education and an M.S. degree from Texas A. 6. M. Mr. Anderson's accomplishments during 1953-54 include working out many activities with the two other Austin high schools as well as maintaining our school's position as a leader in competition with other Texas high schools. Through his industry and guidance Stephen F, Austin High School was a leader in Austin's gigantic centennial cele- bration oi public education in Texas. For Mr. Anderson's hard work be- hind the scenes and for his ever- ready smile and encouraging word, we, the student body, are deeply grateful, Nei, l Sffifuazlc SQSGHOOI 'infill it ,LZ f'rx 'HX 'S
