They are nominated by representatives from each advisory and then voted on by the entire class. Being a class officer is not just an honor, for there are responsibilities and duties a class officer must perform. The president is automatically a member of the Student Assembly Committee, and he speaks at graduation. Also, the officers plan activities for the class and preside at assemblies. ,, Gathered around the piano are, standing, left to right, Charlotte Francis, fall secretary, Luther Dube, fall and spring president, Camille Newberry, fall vice-president and spring secretary, Terry Whitworth, fall sergeant-at- arms and spring vice-president.
