If you don't believe it, the cooks, kitch- en experts, can tell you all about washing thousands of plates, knives, forks, spoons, and saucers each day. Standing over the hot dish water are Mamie Williams, DaisyEasley, Bertha Walker, janie Cato, and Idel- la Bellinger. Z4 Tote that mop! Lift that pail! Busily cleaning tables, stacking chairs, and mopping the floor are c ustodians Mr. Eric Kaspar, Miss Ernice Pr e e c e, Mrs. Albert Parker, and Mrs. Ima Wusterhausen. Every play ha s a backstage crew that does the most work and gets the lea st credit. ln the real life drama at Austin High the custo- dians play the part of the b a c k s t a g e crew. C le aning the lunchroom after a busy noon- tide are Mr. L.. A. Driscoll, Mr. Albert Par- ker, Mr. R. E. Burnett, and Mr. E. C.Kirk.

Good food, entertain- ing chatter, and inter- esting company made theCommercial De- partment picnic the best yet for Miss Kath- erine Campbell, Mr. Curtis Beaty, Mrs. Elizabeth Flieller, Mrs. Hazel Lindsay, Miss Willa Anderson, Miss Ruth Blalock, Mrs. Ora- lee Burrer, and Mrs. Marjorie Trevillyan.
