wwf' Sometimes it ha pens in the crowd at a football ame-you may have forgotten there is such a feeling-and then you hear that loud? clear yell, Yea Austin! -or someone might whistle Loyal Forever in the hall-You get a lump in your throat -and you become aware of her for the first time. Her greatness 1'ills your heart, and you know her presence means loyalty to old A. H. S. You can't understand how she knows when you need her, but she's always near when you do-Then you find yourself standing and shouting louder than anyone else.-It's hard to believe at first, but it seems to grow more and more through the years-Some call it sentiment,', but you choose to call it school spirit. Often you wonder just what is behind that big old brick building at 12th and Rio Grande, and itls moments like this that you know it's The Spirit of Austin High!
