1. Miss Adams . . . manager of the lunchroom . . . and her assistant . . . Mrs. Bishop planned the inexpensive meals whose odors made our minds wander from classes to the lunchroom. 2. Mrs. Child . . . three weeks to finals and we didn't know our algebra . . . she was a 'lifesaver' beyond comparison in this untimely situation . . . we thought she was a 'swell person' although she seemed reserved at first. 3. Mr. I. F. Martin . . . a good-natured fellow with an engaging grin . . . was constantly amid gushin girls and industrious boys . . . post grad- uate agvisor and friend of veterans. 4. Mr. Tolbert . . . boys took to him like ducks take to water . . . they considered this friendly sports fan a 'buddy' at all times. 5. Mr. Burger . . . played dual role of being head coach of baseball and basketball . . . his inspiring pep talks backed up his teams and kept them full of spiritf,

Miss Walker . . . a cloud of anything from lay- outs and write-ups to English III themes always fol- lowed at her busy heels . . . formed the backbone of our Comet staff as she energetically supported our feeble efforts . . . believed ardently in good literature and a bountiful vocabulary. 3. 'Ohl Oh! a late bookl' . . . this quiet dark-haired lady in her efficient way added her sizable bit to the welfare of our Library . . . worked with all kinds of people and books . . . enjoyed it thoroughly. 4. Mrs. Edwards . . . she taught science, lived science, loved science . . . Spirogyra was her pet, we believed, as she always delved deeper into that phase of botanyf'
