Possibly no class of seniors in the Austin High School has been so challenged by the many prob- lems of a War-torn world. On the other hand, you have been inspired by the sacri- fice and selfless devotion to the Christian ideal of the men and women serving and fighting and dying in the defense of our country. The gameness with which you have faced the peculiar uncertainties of the times has been encouraging to all of us who stand on the sidelines and wish you well. You have lived and planned and played with such resoluteness that we feel sure that our country will be in safe and capable hands when it becomes yours to take over the helm.
