CLASS PROPHECY If is the year 1959, and a beautiful evening ln October Everywhere ln the town of Austin, Nevada huge posters r adluv ?O'd Home Week N Many days ago, invltations were ent lo all former resldents urging them to attend and 1 CSSLVS particularly thls evenlng when a wonderful ent C ta xment s to be given All the talent for thls program s t wctly home talent Every performer was at one tlme a School Th hour for the great event has arrived Every seat an the vast new audltorlum is fllled, and all are eagerly 8W8itlHg the performance ln whlch many dellghtful surprlses have been proml ed The platform is a mass of beautiful flowers ard autumn leates and the walls are hung wlth gar lands of vine and laurel It is truly a festlve occaslon Seated 1n the audlence are many celebrltles As I look about me I see a number of my old classmates There i Allen Horton our klnd hearted friend, who became a very wealthy man through wlse lnvestments, and lS now a noted philanthropist His money is paylng for much of the Old Home Veek expendltures The ladles ln the front seats are all so stylishly and becomingly dressed that they arouse my curioslty I am told that thelr beautiful garments come from the very select, not to say expenszve shop of Allce Hughes, who deslgns gowns for all the best dressed women in the country She is here herself and looks Wthe class of fHShlOH and the mold of form W Seated near her 1S Valter Dory, a real estate dealer who owns so much property that he has to keep a card index of it ln order to know it hlmself He has given the use of the auditorlum and the spacious park, both of chich belong to him Standing in the door, looking for old friends, I find Frank Bertrand, editor of the largest daily paper in the state and very active politically.
