The Home Economics branch of this department directed its courses towards developing skills necessary for an organized home. The various types ofcourses of- fered in the Home Economics and Industrial Sciences Departments provided the students with a good basis for the future as well as with practical skills for the present.

In the fall, the boys battled through soccer or football scrim- mages while the girls attempted soc- cer or speed ball. During the winter, basketball, tumbling and volleyball kept the gym participants in shape. All students were required to take the Minnesota physical fitness test in which proficiency in jumping, throw- ing a softball and running was checked. GIRLS exhibit their skill in volleyball.
