Miss Priester, Physical education is required l'or all students in grades 7-10, with a minimum of two hours per week. Our five-week rotation plan, ex- plained Harold Hastings, chairman of the Physical Education Depart- ment, provides a variety of activi- ties for the students by oflering live different recreational areas within one year? In the fall, the boys battled through soccer or football scrim- mages while the girls attempted soc- cer or speed ball. During the winter, basketball, tumbling and volleyball kept the gym participants in shape. All students were required to take the Minnesota physical fitness test in which proficiency in jumping, throw- ing a softball and running was checked. GIRLS exhibit their skill in volleyball.
