Studies Department concludes summer revisions After three summers of work, the social studies instructors agreed that their revised curriculum was well- worth the effort. Students and teachers discovered that the re-designed and improved history program prevented much duplication found in previous years. The up-dated course was designed to give each student a more basic and complete understanding of ancient and modern history. Thus, each stu- dent could then relate and apply the lessons of history to the world of today. The curriculum changes were made to eliminate duplications of material taught, to provide more opportunity for research, to update the curriculum and to include new areas ofstudy.
