Yet, as the moment approaches, we hesitate and begin to look back instead of al- ways forward, We recall our varied high school days with their emphasis on the personal, social, and vocational aspects of living. Among our many lasting memories as graduating seniors are the perennial highlights of homecoming, tournaments, mixers, and class elections. But also among our cherished memories are the many hours spent on homework, special themes, confidential chats with counsel- ors, ancient half lockers, the mother- daughter tea, the athletic banquet, and the annual Christmas song fest. Yes, as we reflect on our school careers, we realize that our days at Aus- tin High School were not in vain. For it was then we were preparing and pav- ing our way to the future. The bridge that will link yesterday's lessons with tomorrow's affairs. With our bridge so aptly built, we stand ready to assume our adult responsibilities, confident that we can cope with any of the situations which accompany maturity.
