Sports Are Integral Part of School Life Tweet!!--Thud!! lt's an end over end kick --So begins another year of sports at Aus- tin High. From the earliest days of junior high, sports play an extremely important role in the lives of AHS students. Even those who Watch their classmates perform are gaining an in- valuable experience Which Will never be for- gotten. Learning how to accept your team's victories or its defeats is a lesson which once instilled in a person, will benefit him in fu- ture years. It is through their participation that they learn the value of teamwork and sportsmanship, as well as the worth of a healthy body. Per- haps the most cherished gains are the mem- ories of all the games and the experiences they produced. As the first kickoff of the football season opens the year of sports, so does the last call of You,re out! by the umpire close the base- ball season and the sports year. It has been a thrill-packed unforgettable one. Whether we Won or lost is now of no consequence, for the worthwhile experiences cannot be writ- ten off in the record books. Hail, therefore to the sports of Austin High School!
