Dog Patchers Hop Girl ask boy--wear oldest clothing with patches-have a hilarious time, What is it? Why, it's the recipe for fun at the Dog Patch Hop, a fall dance sponsored by the SFC. 18 Sew the Patch Dave Walker, Debby Blowers: date for the Dog Patch Hop, sits patiently as she sews patches, matching her own, on his jeans. All patched? Then on to the dance! We're Thirsty Between dances Debby, Dave, Barb Burton, and Ken Pack take it easy. They laugh as they watch other Hoppers attired in boots, sweatshirts, and patches. We Came To Dance This slow number was enjoyed by all- Debby and Dave too. Chuck Hall's orchestra furnished the music and even gave some of the peppy Hoppers a chance to polka, And it's, Thank you and good-night, as Debby and Dave begin the homeward trek.

Mingle Socially School mixers sponsored by various clubs have become a steady habit with many of our dancing enthusiasts. The typical mixer is held in the cafeteria and offers entertainment following games for most students. For the benefit of those who like refreshmants dur- ing the evening, concessions are usually pro- vided by the sponsoring group. Two featured mixers this year were the traditional WPA mixer and Dogpatch Hop for which girls dated boys and we came in jeans. Music is generally furnished by records. However, we sometimes enjoy such bands as Chuck Hall's and Rollo Sissell's for Variety. On one occasion, we had the advantage of the ten-piece band of Bob Harris because of ill- ness in the five-piece band which had been engaged. Fast-music fans, those who prefer slow dance music, and even those who don't dance enjoy our well-attended mixers. Uheckr on Silltlvlll Vouncil Mix:-1' lfli-Y Mixer
