A Journey With Friends . The six years that Youth spends in the junior' senior high school can be compared to a journey in the world about us. In the high school, as in the journey of life, Youth meets obstacles which can be conquered only by determination and the will to do right. When Youth comes into the seventh grade, the goal of graduation appears difficult and steep. However, when the twelfth grade is reached, he can look with pride and satisfaction to his accomplish' ments. Youth's friendships formed on this journey are valued memories through the years.

Eight citizens of the community give freely of their time to the educational interests of youth on their journey through the local public schools culminating with graduation from the senior high school. This year the Board of Education has had the added responsibility of the construction of the new eight hundred thousand dollar high school addition including a junior college as well as the construction of a new stadium at the athletic field. Ever alert to the necessity of meeting the educational demands of a rapidly growing community, each member of the Board of Education is to be commended for his efforts. Youth is grate' ful to these progressive citizens. The members of the Board of Education and their years of service to the school system are: W. I. Bergman. nine years: E. C. Ban- field, thirteen years: R. C. Alderson, sixteen years: Brooks Cutter, three years: R. H. Daigneau, four years: Lloyd Lilygren, three years: and H. O. Westby, four years. Superintendent S. T. Neveln, admired by the student body for his sincerity and genuine friendliness, is now serving his nine! teenth year as superintendent of the public schools.
