X N 'gm fag. 1 Mr. Northcott may not be so well known to some of the students, but he has a cheery word of greeting or encour- agement for everyone. N0 better person could be found to represent Austin College through- uut Texas and Oklahoma than the gracious and friendly Vice-President in charge of Public Re- lations, Mr. Northcott. WILLIAM BARNETT GUERRANT, D. D. President W. N. lXlOR'1'HCOTT Vice-Prefident Dr. Guerrant has per- haps done more than anyone else to make Austin College a truly friendly place. The words on the door of his office state his atti- tude as simply and as directly as possible- Pre.ricie11l, Walk IW' He is always ready and willing to discuss with us our problems and our plans. WV 2 UMM, No matter what you try to do on the campus, you will eventually have to seek out Mr. Clarke, who is never where you look for him. just take a deep breath and fol- low the cigar smell, you cannot miss. The lot of a business manager is not an easy one, but Mr. Clarke handles very ably the job of explaining away the ever-rising cost of education. Dean Moorman is the guiding hand behind each students college career. Students never Cease to Wonder at his apparent omniscience. It was formed last year under the direction of Dr. C. Cornette and Mrs. Pauline Dennis. The motto of the club, For better understanding, adequately expresses its purpose. The three language groups have charge of the meetings. Customs, music, and dances of the various countries have been studied, each group using this as an opportunity to practice the language it is studying. . . CLUB This club is one of the best organized clubs on the campus. lt has no officers, and its purpose is to help the average student realize how lucky he is not to have accepted too many responsibilities. The meetings are held anywhere these people pictured, and many others, happen to meet and exchange words of woe about having so much to do that they do not have time to study, attend meetings, sleep, eat ....
