HI! faithful and diligent, and often has “the palm of vic- tory” been received in return for “the dust of labor.” We scarcely deem it necessary to go into a detailed ac- count of its victories, as they have been fully dwelt upon by former writers—it is sufficient to say that its members take a pardonable pride in the record which the Society has made, and their aim is ever to uphold in the future the reputation made in the past. Its outlook for the future is encouraging in the ex- treme—the membership is larger than it has been for several years past; the work done by its members is for the most part highly satisfactory, and active preparations are on foot to fit the hall up in a more comfortable and elegant style than it has been heretofore.
