ADMINISTRATION AND FACULTY... - x M Now I should like to introduce the Administrators of our fine school . . . the Augustinian Fathers, the secular teachers and other important personnel who make things run smoothly at Austin High. Allow me to present the Provincial of the Order of Saint Augustineg the Rector of our school, our Director of Studiesg our Chaplain, and the other men of God who have dedicated themselves to His Honor and Glory and to mankind. Priests and Educators . . . we have found them to be our counselors, contessors and guiding hand. Next I present the secular teachers. All of them are dedicated to the noble work of assisting us on our way through life.

Father Chapman, our idea of Rev. Mr. Austin, who is never too busy for any student. Father is shown here in one of his familiar duties . . . giving counsel to seniors about college requirements. Victor Hebert, Matt Dowd and Charles DeFever look over his shoulder. Father Chapman is vice-Rector, Director of Studies, Disci- plinariang in charge of the iug class: Assembly Mod- erator, Student Council Moderator, Director of Student Activities, Counselor of the Athletic Director, in charge of Cheer Leaders, Moderator of Student Lunch periods, Director of Intramural games, Director of Admissions, Administrator of Entrance Examinations. The MAGlSTRO staff salutes you, Father Chapman. 8 Our Rector, Father Galloway, in conference with seniors who represent various phases of student activity . . . Paul Kemp, David Lennert, James Szwed, Louis Columbo and James Kroth. Father Timms is Chaplain at Austin. We have a fine religious program under his guidance. A Message from Our Rector: Reverend John F. Galloway, O.S.A. To the Senior Class: You have now reached an important milestone in your road of lite. You came to us as boys four short years ago. We now send you forth as men . . . Austin men. Up to this present moment you have been dependent on others, your teachers for instruction and guidance, your parents for good example, advice, sympathy and understanding. Henceforth, you will be left more to your own re- sources, your destiny will be more in your own hands. How are you going to shape that destiny of yours? Each of you has dreams for the future, and those dreams will be brought to reality only through your own ettorts and by application of the principles and knowledge you have acquired here at Austin. We know that you will do this. We know that you will reflect glory on your school, and we are proud to be able to send you forth with the stamp- Austin Men.
