Defeating St. Laclislaus, the Friars moved into Briggs Stadium for the showdown title game with Wyan- dotte St. Patrick. The Austin sluggers hit the ball hard but it didn't fall safely, and the Friars were edged. This year with a veteran squad and pitching staff returning, Friar prospects look brighter.
