Achieve- ment because winning it required perseverance and sacrifice. Honor because it was given in recognition of this achievement. With this in mind, the Varsity Club, composed of varsity letter winners, was formed to promote school loyalty and spirit. The letterrnen are required to live up.to the high standards set for anyone wearing the insignia ofthe school. This year the team had a 7-l record, winning twice over Assumption, De La Salle, and Salesian and once over Cathedral Central, while losing only to the league champion Visitation team As we go to press the Catholi league swimming finals have not yet begun. However Austin should finish near the top of the ladder this year, if not on top.
