the national honor society was organized in the spring of 1954. it stresses three main thingsg character, service, and leadership. the initial qualification for membership is a scholastic average of 88. score sheets are rated for each candidate by the faculty members, and averaged to determine the new mem- bers of the society. these elections are held each semester. the charter members of the senior class ofl954 were: annamarie brown, ted dahlin, vera kari, geraldine parvinen, kay beloy, and ralph pesonen. charter members of the junior class were: diane grebenc, marcia brown, alice oja, violet kilpela, and connie faith. students elected in the fall of 1954 were: sharon smolich, kay mattson, richard thompson, rodney rosandich, and clif- ford pesonen. character service Nf N leade rship scholar ship
