While you are the 81st class to graduate, you are only the eighth to graduate in a flood year-a flood that has reached a height of 64 feet or more, which is enough to cause the schools to he closed. This Aurora High School Alumni organization, which was organized in 1896, is 52-years-old. One of its members, Miss Julia Spaeth, of the class of 1889, has not missed an alumni reception since its organization. The class of 1921 is still the oldest class untouched by death. Are there any members of this class here tonight? As near as can be ascertained from the records, tl1e oldest living graduate is Flora Platter Van Houten, of the class of 1876. The oldest class represented tonight is the class of 1889, of which Julia Spaeth is the member present. Can anyone cor- rect me on that? The graduate traveling the greatest distance to attend the reception tonight is Irene Miller, 1916, who came from Fort Wayne. Seventeen Alumni have sons or daughters joining our ranks tonight.
