Constant Motion Our world is in constant motion. The irrevocable flow of time, the endless push of the business world—even our personal lives display continual motion. This motion is the binding force in the organization of our annual. ACTIVITIES Ten after nine finds us looking at our King candidate Our group had 25% fewer cavities in Mr. Huffman's survey Larry Steigerwald. Six to nine is a fine time for a Queen to begin her rhine??? (reign) We’ll see you “around.’ What a holly jolly folly! Here comes (he Aurora Band embarking on their impossible mission to play “Mission Impossible.” After the Pumpkin Show Wayne needed more than moral support. Steve lays one on Marlene as the crowd cheers. And rounding the first turn is car number one carrying two of our beauties to the Grand Gridiron Gaiety where one of them will be crowned Homecoming Queen 1969. 12 A Dickie sets the old Mexican mood, Fred takes a siesta. Jeff and Greg croon us a tune. 13 Dancin’ 9n Romancin’ I told you, Cindy, about that little bug on the floor and now you’ve killed it! 14 Holiday Fun Here’s Charlie Brown and his All-Star Blockheads performing at the Christmas program. WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, THE TOUGH GET GOING. These words describe better than any other this year’s varsity basketball team. In spite of losing eight of their first eleven games, the Devils did not quit as many teams might have. Mary Martin, Bobby Bennett, Melvin Lyttle, Mrs. Pitcock, Jane Farrar, Blanche Meyers, Steve Sandbrink, Gary Goodspeed, Melody Busse, and Brenda Hoffmcicr. “Golly, Nan would you?” asks Pam while a smiling cast looks on. 106 Take it off, Mrs. Smith, take it all off. A family with charming children and unusual friends paved the way for a memorable night for the seniors and their audience. This timely comment on racial prejudice was spiced with funny characters and even funnier situations. “A Kat-a-tat-tat.” The Family Nobody Wanted 107 The leads are facing before embracing. Some feel only happiness at being “free at last’’; others arc sad to leave their friends and school activities. High school graduation is in some ways an end, but in others only a beginning. Many new questions confront us: Shall I go on to college? What job should I take? Will 1 really find a place and a purpose in life? Unlike those on tests, these are questions only you can answer. Everyone must make the choice he feels is right. But whatever our choices, we can feel sure that our years at Aurora High School have helped us become mature enough to make the right decision. Our Last Respects Each year, producing an annual takes a great deal of time, work, ami money. We recognize hen those people who made this project possible. We would like to thank Mrs. Schaich, for helping us find a place to work during the hectic days before our last deadline: Wally Slay back, for patiently putting up with our late meetings and cluttered rooms: and the merchants of the Aurora Law renceburg area, for purchasing advertising space to help finance this annual. We would also like to thank the members of the Senior Class who helped us si'll the holly and I.hristmas decorations to make up last year’s deficit of 270 dollars; and we especially thank Mr. Kay Hudson, who donated his house as a holly warehouse and his guidance to make our annual a success.
