Mr. Shelby directs the operation The boys enrolled in Mr. Robert Shelby's industrial arts class will long remember it as a class where humor and practical joking played almost as large a part in the agenda as did working and developing new skills. The junior and senior boys usually had the responsibili- ty of assembling the scenery for the senior class play and then of taking it down for another year. The football bleach ers required a fresh coat of paint once a year. The lndus- trlal Arts Department was called upon to do the job with efficiency. The print shop foreman Carlos Kennett will certainly never forget those two printers, larry Satchwill and Doug Manford, who made the period so enjoyable for him. Certain standard jokes. such as the time Bob Yelton took a part for the Southside School teeter totter to North- side School and declared that he had taken it to Southside. will soon be memories to be fondly recalled by the boys.

Other than slide rule computation, the Trig pupils learned the differences in sine, cosine, and tangent and then put this knowledge to work.
