Class Hustory One fme warm day tn September 1944 thtrty startled scared lads started on a new ad venture school. Of that number twelve are sull wxth us They are- Margre Clymens Don Conley Dennxs and Doreen Hasenwmkel, Gerald Johnson Vernon Klumpp Mar1an Kastengret Dean Peterson, Dana Schulke Jane Sjoberg. Fred Sorensen, and Jane Stutz By second grade our fears were over and we were very wlse and worldly wha: we welcomed ,Terry Ha1ght Ken Kolpnn and Carolyn Nelson from country school Martlyn Kirby from V1ll1sca Donna Bezom from Storm Lake and Gary Jacob from Cxnaha In tlurd grade wtth the help of MISS Ne1buhr we learned all the wonderful and exctttng mysterxes in nature That IS wtth the help of a pet hamster and numerous nature stud1es In tlus year Tom Wh1mey Joined our little group He came to us from Dysart Iowa In fourth grade we traveled around the world wlth the help of geography our globe and numerous books We admltted Mark Covey from Cherokee th1s year Flfth grade found us studymg harder than ever but desptte thxs we had fun too Who doesn t remember opening exerctses and smgmg such songs as Found a Peanut 'P Slxth grade leaves our grade school days behlnd us In thts year Coleen McCleerey came from Cherokee and Martan Kastengren moved to Larrabee J uruor I-hgh brought many new changes in our routme such as more than one teacher and gomg from one classroom to another Ttme went fast m ,Tumor H1gh and we soon fotmd ourselves ready to enter the marvelous new tlung called lugh school Who 11 ever forget freshman IIIIUAUOII9 However after ll was over and we were accepted as the Class of 57 xt was fun to look back on We welcomed Carol Hill from Caltwnet and Harold Remboth from Arthur as members of our class In our Sophomore year we were Joined by Joan Otto from Cherokee and Marxan Kastengren came back from Larrabee No one new has jomed our class the last two years but they have gone speedlly on thetr way unul now the Class of 57 w11l soon be Htstory too s 0 1 ' -- I I ' 1 1 o v D I u r f 1 , .
