That's really something! 4 5 sf' 1 -Y I'ue got to call home and tell them my new address. But the names changed--both students and dorm names this year. Towers East and Towers West were christened Clemens M. Granshou and Lawrence M. Stauig. Granskou served as Augie's President from 1933-43 and Stauig headed the school as President from 1943-65. The official change came on May 9, 1973 at the Awards Day program. What were the reactions of the students to this sudden change in the names of their dorms? Granshou, Stauig, didn't they play for the Browns back in '47, or I don't mind at all,' I think it's rather nice to name them something other than Towers, but I wish I could remember how to spell Granskou. Granskou? Stauig? I've heard of them . . . 1 6 . r som ething! 3' 1 Let 's see. . . Granskou 1932-43 and Stavig 1943-65. 1 Q - 1 2 Ufzhem ' ' ' f al Let me sleep on that a while. ,n 1 17 Dear Mom, Dad. . . I'm living in a presidential dorm next year. Let me sleep on that a while. With what seems to be a national trend of students shunning dormitories, Twin Towers East, that is, Granskou Hall, added a new dimension to its already refurbished base- ment--it added a sauna where one can sweat away the traumas of tests, finals, papers and classes. So what can one say about a dormitory? They're noisy, they're quiet, they're dirty, theyre clean, they're horrid, yet they're wonderful. Liu- ing in a dorm can be a marvelous experience if you just take the bad with the good and be your own person.
