- Outdoor Educatit V H 777v L Registration on Saturday put the year into perspective for most of the fresh- men, as they realized that the year was not going to be all peaches and cream. Closed classes, changed instructors, and the confusion of registration left most of the freshmen exhausted, but the Theater Department's presentation of You know I Can't Hear You When the Water's Running was a we1corne conclusion to the day's activities. Sunday was the first time to realiy t take it easy, and many freshmen at- tended the Faculty Specialities, presen- t tations by members of the faculty to acquaint students with the Quad City area and Its history. Dinner Sunday 1 evening at President Tredway's was fol- ' lowed by the movie Bless the Beasts and the Children in Centennial HaH which gave the freshmen a chance to I mingle and find new friends. Orienta- l tion week ended on a cheery note, as most of the freshmen trooped to Cen- tennial Hal1 on Monday to see the Ori- entation Leader's talent show complete with a salute to King Tred and My Sharona. The week was a successful one, and by the start of classes on Tues- day, the freshmen were willing and able to dig right in to college life. Versatility Merges Towards the end of orientation week, all the peer advisers and orientation co-ordinators combined their efforts to present the Leaders' Talent Show. Emcees for the night were Mary Scoliay and Scot Anderson; they introduced a variety of talented performers, including vocalists and instrumentalists. The comedy acts were especially entertaining, reflecting much hard Work and I . . . . effort.
