Firefall's lead guitarist Jock Bartley plays for Augustana's first concert of the year. A welcome break to fall quarter classes was the first rock concert of the year, fea- turing Firefall and an Austra- lian group, the Dingoes. Parents Have Eventful Day at Augie Checking- up on the activities of their sons or daughters, Parents of Augie students came to the Annual Parents Weekend held September 24 and 25. Students showed their par- ents around the campus, giving them an idea of what they do on an average day at college. Old Main, Founders, the slough and also the clean dorm rooms were tops on the list of things to see. The after- noon football game and the Outdoor Supper with the faculty gave Par- ents a view of a typical weekend at Augie. The Student Variety Show in the evening capped the eventful day and revealed to the Parents the multi-talented students at Augie. ?arenm of Jud g Deardeuff and Jolene Albert can't lgure out why the studems complain about Augie food as they eat at the Outdoor Supper with the faculty. 22 Parents Weekend
