The first weeks of school are filled with activities as new stu- dents learn about college life. and returning upperclassmen meet new people and renew old friendships . The Freshman Talent Show, Orien- tation Leaders' Talent Show, President's Dinner, and Viking Olympics are all parts of the tran- sition to life at Augustana. Successfully bringing the fresh- men together with the upperclass- men, Outdoor Adventure Education provided freshmen with the chance to learn their way around campus during Orientation. Outdoor Ed challenged the new freshmen class with such exercises as the trust fall, the nitro crossing, the prison escape, and a hog call. Relaxed and at ease, each student walked away with a new feeling of personal and group awareness through coo- peration.
