The percentage of actors and actresses on campus runs high, making Augustana's chapter of Alpha Psi Omega, national dramatic: fraternity, the largest in the na- tion. Try-outs for the three annual Plays are open to any student, and hidden talent is constantly being uncovered. Dramatic ability is not really necessary, though, either for entrance into Alpha Psi or for Participation in Augieirx productions. A big job falls to the crews who work before opening night or behind the scenes. Com- petition is keen, even for these less glor- iouf' positions, and before notices are posted, almost every one is tilled. Membership in Alpha Psi isnlt all work, though. When the play is over, members and uneophytes gather in the auditorium for their traditional party. Here the 3:15 Pressed talents of the stage crew often come out in a skit 0r take-off on the play. Then there are the initiations, where neo- phytes are put through their paces. A look at Angie's dramatic organization will prove that the campus is truly stage- consclous.
