ur rincipa COLONEL CHARLES S. ROLLER, IR. Virginia Military Institute 1898-1901 Furman University 1901-1902-1907 V. M. I. Football Coach 1907-1908 A. M. A. 1905-1948 Colonel Charles S. Roller has been intimately associated with the Augusta Military Academy for over a half a century. In that period he has watched the growth of the school. from a small beginning under his father, the late Professor Charles S. Roller, to the present large student body of over four-hundred cadets .representing almost all of the forty-eight siates and many foreign countries. Colonel Roller and his brother, the late Col. T. Roller, were co-principals of the Academy until March, 1946 when Col. Tom Roller passed away. Since that time Col. C. S. Roller has conducted the altairs of the school and furthered the ideal of his father and his brother. The school has prospered under his Magic Walid and many improvements have taken place since he took complete charge of the Academy on that day in 1946. -
