I 9 4 6 NAE H. PEARSON MNHCU Nae is a second year cadet at :X.lXfl-A., and though he is one of the quieter boys, he has done a lot for the school. He played football this year, and though he didn't win a letter, he tried hard. He is another Lynchburg boy, and a true blue Augusta man. CARROLL C. PHILLIPS Phil l'hil has followed his brother's footsteps by becoming one of the most outstanding second year men. lle was best new cadet in B Com- pany, and now holds the rank of sergeant. He is an active member of both the Honor Com- mittee and the Y.M.C..X. cabinet. He has not faltered athletically, being outstanding on the .IY Ilasketball team. JAMES L. PIGG jimmy hlinnny has come very close to copping just about all the honors that a cadet could in four years, and yet he is still the same country boy from Kentucky. lle started his tirst year by winning best new cadet. This was followed the next year by his winning Neatest Cadet, and being elected to the llonor Committee twhich he has been elected to every year since thenl. l.ast year he was on the Y.lNl.C..'X. cabi- net, liditor of the Recall, and associate on the liayonet. 'l'his year he climaxed everything by becoming President of the Student llody, member of the llonor Committee, Captain of ll Company, member of the Yarsity Basket- ball team, Cadet .Xdviser to the llayonet and Recall, Treasurer of the Cotillion Club, in fact, next to lirewer, he holds down everything, and a swell job he does of all. .Xcademically, he stayed on the Honor Roll. .Xs to his future, we know what fate has in store for him.

After spending three years here he was promoted to sergeant in C Company. WILLIAM C. OWEN HEMI!! Bill is about as quiet as individual as we have ever seen. He keeps to himself and does what he should in such a manner to bring fame upon the family name. He plans to enter governmental work of a type of which he and only he could make a success. FRED A. OYLER ffrfeddyu Having been at Augusta only two years, Freddy has reached the goal of every cadet here. He ranks a sergeant in IJ Company, he is on the Honor Committee, and is the Treas- urer of the Y.M.C.A. He played junior varsity football and junior varsity baseball. Freddy has a real future in front of him, and we wish him all the luck in following it. ' Q

S E N I O R S JAMES H. SAXON, JR. jimmy jimmy, a third year man at Augusta, is noted particularly for his brains. He has stood among the top five in the school every month, never being absent from the Honor Roll. He has played two years of junior var- sity basketball, and proved himself proficient in this field. He is Platoon Sergeant in Com- pany A. RICHARD L. SCHINDEL caljicku Dick is a new cadet this year and one of the boys in lVlajor's College Algebra. Dick played both basketball and football, and was an asset to the team in both cases. After his short stay at Augusta, we will really miss him. JAMES B. SHADLE sxjirnmyrs jim is one of those fellows who is always fooling with a motor. Along with other abili- ties that he possesses he was a perfect new cadet and he is sergeant and guidon bearer in A Company. Best of luck at lVest Virginia University.
