“А TRIBUTE” All of us who know Miss Florence McCormick will always remember her as long as we live, and whenever we think of her we will be better for the thought. There are people who, by paying a great price and by traveling alone the road of pain and suffering become the in- visible guardians and inspirations of their loved ones and their friends . . . Miss Florence or, as we more affectionately know her, “Mother Mac,” has been our invisible guardian for the past twenty-nine years at Augusta. Those years have passed quickly for her. However as they are to us, so they are to her the hap- piest years of her life and of ours. Thus it is a great privilege to the staff of the 1945 RECALL to dedicate this edition of the yearbook to “MOTHER MAC The present history of Augusta, as it is now being written, will place her name among those of the great immortals. To know her is to love her, knowing her is to live the history of A.M.A. Words cannot express our love and affection for this wonderful lady that fate so kindly sent to us. May her future years be as full of the beautiful things of life as they have been in the past. “Mother” all of us love you.
