A. M A. l DIPLOMAS MELVIN D. WOLFBERG Wolf, and it means what the name implies, is one of our best athletes. He is an insurance of success and we feel that the Navy will have a boom season with this donation from A.lVl.A. Seeing him go is one of the saddest things that we have to experience, but we feel sure that he will enter other's hearts, as he has held his place in ours. GEORGE R. WONG Not much can be said about such a quiet boy as George, but those who know him best have found him easy to get along with and happy-go lucky. His broad smile which accompanies him wherever he goes makes him easy to be recog- nized. So with best wishes to another Latin American brother we sorrowfully bid good-bye. JOHN B. WOODWARD Jack came to us with a line record from Newport News High School. ln his one year here, he has proven himself to be a good new cadet, an outstanding student, faithful athlete, and a well liked boy. Our best wishes go to lack whom we are confident will be successful in whatever he undertakes. NICHOLAS R. WREDEN, IR. f'Nick,' is one of our gross new cadets. His art and humor which adorn his -walls on Sunday morning, have given our commandant more than one of his gray hairs. The RECALL ,-i DIPLOMAS R. FRANKLIN THORNHILL, JR. Post Graduate In Frank Thornhill we have a man who has proven himself a great asset to A.M.A. First, he has excelled as a student. Second, his efforts to assist everyone concerned with A.M.A. for the betterment of the school have been unselhsh. Major Rolleris right bow,'J goes forth, first to serve his country, and when the war has been won, to lead a successful life. Good luck to the man with the mysterious nickname of sly, CLAY L. WELKER Clay will always be remembered by his grand personality and handsome features. A quiet, well li'ked boy, with a facility to make a friend, will, we are sure, aid him in later life. SPOTSWOOD WEST f'Spotty is one of the best liked fellows at A.M.A. Always willing to oblige when you need a laugh and always saying just the right thing. As manager of the football and basketball teams, he became loved by everyone because of his fine character. We know that success will follow him in whatever he may choose as his career. JULIAN D. WHITE jD,' came to us unheralded in September. In the short months of the school year he has made many outstanding friendships. As a new cadet he can be considered one of the best.
