In a February assembly, Mr. Gustafson recognized Marilyn Shauf, Gerald Cox, and Claude Pressnell as the very first Citizens of the Month. This new program, sponsored by the Student Council, is for the purpose of promoting good citizenship. Some of the other activities sponsored by the Student Council during 1955-56 were the book exchange, Student Council Conference, Student monthly dances, and the All-School Picnic. As in previous years, the Student Council sent money to help support our Greek war orphan, Polyxeni Alexopoulou. An exchange assembly with El Dorado was also planned. The crown and football were carried on black velvet pillows by Lyndal and Rochelle Roby. Judy was attended by Carmen Paul and Janet Douthitt who were escorted by Lewis Lonsinger and Wayne Dusenbery.
